Liangang SK2 series high-end tool steel achieves batch stable production

The R&D team of Liangang Technology has successfully developed the SK2 series of cold-rolled products and achieved stable production and supply after optimizing the production process and successfully producing SK2 hot-rolled wide plates.

The successful development of SK2 series products has effectively promoted the localization process of special steel for high-end sawing, and is a major achievement since the establishment of the "Hunan Province Tool and Automotive Parts Steel Engineering Technology Research Center".

After nearly two years of exploration and innovation, Liangang SK2 has the characteristics of high strength, high wear resistance, sufficient toughness, and good machinability. It has been stably and in bulk supplied to several benchmark cutting tool processing enterprises in China.

SK2 series high carbon steel belongs to advanced carbon tool steel, with a carbon content of up to 1.2%, high hardness, and generally requires cold rolling and deep processing for use. The hot-rolled material of this steel grade has strong hardenability and is sensitive to temperature, making it extremely difficult to produce on conventional refining and rolling lines. The R&D team of Liangang Technology has utilized existing equipment to improve production processes and achieved a series of breakthroughs and innovations, making the material highly resilient and becoming the only SK2 wide coil supplier in China.

SK2 material is mainly used for the production and manufacturing of art knives, surgical knives, textile needles, etc. The performance of materials produced by Liangang reaches the level of similar imported materials, and both cold and hot rolled materials can be produced, with the thinnest specification reaching 0.5mm.
